David L. Hatcher, 76, died Saturday, July 13, 2024.

He retired from Ford Motor Company after 35 years and was co-owner of the old Davern's Tavern.  David served in the Marine Corps and was a member of the Fern Creek High School class of 1965, Cedar Creek Baptist Church and the Aero Club of Louisville.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Hatcher; sons, David Scott Jones and Kenny Hatcher (Darlene): step children, Melissa Harbolt and Richard Smith; and seven grandchildren.

His funeral is 6pm Sunday, July 21, 2024 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY  40291 followed by a celebration of his life at the Aero Club of Louisville, 3333 Roger E. Schupp Road, Louisville, KY 40205. Visitation is after 1pm that afternoon until the time of the service at the funeral home.
