David Leon Davis, 81, died Sunday, June 11, 2023.

He was a native of Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee, although he lived in the Louisville area most of his life.  He retired from General Electric where he worked for over 31 years in Building 2.

Preceding David in death were his beloved first wife, Wilhelmina Weidauer Davis; mother, Mazie L. Davis; father, Randel O. Davis; and siblings, Joe Neal Davis, Dixie P. Davis and Bobbie Elaine Walls.

Survivors include his children, Gregory L. Davis (Denise), Darryl  D. Davis and Patricia D. Davis; grandchildren, Jeffrey Kyle Davis (Stephanie) and Katherine D. Blackburn; 5 great grandchildren; siblings, Bennie D. Davis (Betty Sue), Linda L. Hellman and Barbara A. Badgett (James); many nieces and nephews; and friend, Dale Steinmetz.

His funeral is 10am Friday, June 16, 2023 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road.  Visitation is 3-7pm Thursday, June 15, 2023.  Burial in Highland Memory Gardens  is private.
