David Anthony Burch, age 61 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at home in Louisville, KY with family by his side.  David was born on May 20, 1962, to Georgie Grant Burch and Thomas J. Burch, Sr. in Louisville, KY. He attended St. Ignatius Martyr School, graduated from St. Xavier High School, and attended EKU where he won an election for student senate while completing their Paralegal Program.  As a student intern working for Attorney General David Armstrong, David assisted with writing laws that are still in effect today. He continued to find success working for various local and state agencies throughout his career and was a faithful member of St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church.

David, also known by his family as "Babbit" and "Uncle Dave," enjoyed living life and he had many loves to include bicycling, long walks, attending music festivals/concerts with friends (David was an avid Parrot Head), Black Friday shopping, cheering on his Kentucky Wildcats and the horses at the Kentucky Derby and spending time on the Ohio River boating or jet skiing.  David was the life of the party and made many memories at luaus on the river and when hosting his own social events, especially on Halloween. His family and friends will greatly miss his charismatic personality and smiling face which will forever live in our hearts.

David is preceded in death by his grandparents; niece, Cassie Burch; nephew, Chris Johnson; and his beloved Boston Terriers Mario and Baxter. He is survived by his parents, Tom (Patty) Burch and Georgie Grant Burch; his sisters, Bonnie (B.J.) Johnson and Terri (Jim) Burch; brothers, Kevin Burch and Tommy (Linda) Burch; Linda Trujillo Burch and family; many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Visitation will be held at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Rd., Louisville, KY 40291 on Sunday October 1, 2023, from 1:00-7:00 p.m.  Additional visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m. on October 2, 2023 at St. Ignatius Martyr, 1818 Rangeland Rd., Louisville, KY 40219 followed by the funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. and burial at Calvary Cemetery.
