Danny Aaron Witt, 75, died Monday, April 27, 2026.

He was born March 5, 1951 in Harlan, Kentucky, son of Aaron and Freada Helton Witt.

Danny retired after 34 years with Ford Motor Company. He attended Fern Creek Christian Church, was a 1969 graduate of Southern High School and proudly served in the Air Force National Guard. He was a naturalist at Jefferson Memorial Forest and loved being outdoors, especially when he was fishing. He was also a sports fan of UK, the Yankees and the Rams. Above all, Danny loved Christmas and possessed a year-round Christmas spirit!

In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Haag.

Survivors include his wife of almost 53 years, the former Rosemary Nutgrass; children, Jason and Amanda (Jonathan Brohm); grandchildren, Penny, Nickolas and Archer; sisters, Donna Schmitt and Robin Huffines; sister-in-law, Jeanie Gatti (Mike); puppy, Ozzy; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to Nazareth Home and to Fern Creek Christian Church for their love and kindness.

His funeral is 12pm Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation is 1-7pm Tuesday, May 5, 2026 and after 10am Wednesday until the time of the service.
