Danny White, 72, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at his home, surrounded by family.

He was born Daniel Bruce White on April 22, 1951 in Bardstown, Kentucky, son of John Thomas and Thelma Juanita Burns White.  Danny worked for the United States Postal Service and was a decorated Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.  He was a member of the last graduating class of My Old Kentucky Home School (1969), Cedar Creek Baptist Church in Bardstown and the American Legion in Indianapolis.   He coached girls' softball at Fern Creek Park for 10 years and enjoyed golfing, drinking beer and visiting with friends at The Hitching Post.  His favorite times were when all the family came over for a cook-out.

In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Danielle White; and brother, David White.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Green White; children, Jody White (Amanda), Amber Dey White and Mandy Jones; grandchildren, Ashtynn White, Sam White, Aliyah Bloomer, Thomas White, Anthony Bloomer, Zoey White, Aalyvia Bloomer, Andrew Bloomer, Piper Jones and Lincoln Jones; great granddaughter, Everly Pierce; and brother, Barry White.

His funeral is 10am Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial in Highview Cemetery in Chaplin, Kentucky.  Visitation is 2-7pm Monday, August 21, 2023.
