Danny Lee Higginbotham, 79, died Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at his home in Corryton, Tennessee.

He was born October 14, 1946 in Louisville, Kentucky, son of late Herbert Lyle and Ruth Hicks Higginbotham.

Danny was a retired accountant working in hospitals. He was a graduate of Fern Creek High School, a bachelor’s from TN Tech and a Masters from Tusculum. A Veteran of Vietnam serving in Thailand in the USAF, a HAM radio user, former member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky, and member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee.

In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Faye Alcorn Higginbotham.

Survivors include his sons, David (Amie) of Corryton, Tennessee and Evan (Tiffany) Higginbotham of Tusculum, Tennessee and. grandchildren, Emilee Higginbotham and Taylor Smith of Corryton, Tennessee.

His funeral is 1pm Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation is after 11 until time of the service.
