Connie Tyler, 66, died Monday, July 8, 2024.

She was born Mary Constance Benson on August 26, 1957, daughter of Robert Palmer and Mary Catherine Wentzell Benson.

Connie was a legal assistant, former girl scout leader and member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Moore High School and attended Sullivan University.  Her favorite time spent was with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She was a proud grandma and loved them dearly.  Connie also had some good friends with which she enjoyed talking and playing Bunco.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Benson; nephew, Craig Benson; and brother-in-law, Tim Athey.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Tyler; daughters, Katie Tyler (J.P. Kenney) and Emily Thompson (Matthew); grandchildren, Henry and Ellie Thompson; and siblings, Robert Benson, Jr. (Donna), Kathleen Zurkuhlen (Leo), Marilyn Athey and David Benson.

A celebration of her life is 3pm Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road.  Memorial visitation is after 10am that morning until the time of the service.
