Mr. Clifton Luther Blackston, 84, husband of the late Ruth Davis Blackston, passed away  Saturday, January 15 ^th , 2022 in Louisville, Kentucky.

Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Luther Columbus Blackston and the late Evia Kay Blackston.  In his younger years he worked at John D. Hollingsworth, later opening his business, Blackston Pressure Roll Company servicing many mills in the Southeast.  He spent his later working years at Carolina Plating in Greenville from which he retired.  Mr. Blackston was a 32 ^nd degree Mason as well as a Shriner in Greenville, SC.  He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, also  in Greenville.

Surviving are his daughter, Karen Anderson of Louisville, KY, son Barry C. Blackston, MD of Greenville, SC and son Kevin Blackston (Lisa) of Simpsonville, SC; his four sisters Margaret Collins, Ollie Nix (Richard), Virginia Porter, and Faye Leslie, all of Easley, SC; and his three grandchildren, Kyle Anderson, Mayden Blackston, and Scottie Blackston.

He was preceded in death by brother Harold Clyde Blackston, son-in-law Cliff Anderson, and daughter-in-law Maree Blackston.

Graveside ceremony will be held on Saturday, February 26 ^th , 2022 at Greenville Memorial Gardens at 3:30pm located at 7784 Augusta Road, Piedmont, S.C., and is open to all friends and family.  Masks are requested to be worn please.

Family members are at their respective homes.
