She helped her then husband with a successful bus depot, dental lab, pool business and scuba diving center as well as raising her two daughters. Later in life, she worked at Kraftube in Big Rapids for many years in Purchasing until relocating to Manchester MI where she began work for Pilot Industries as a Supplier Quality Manager until she retired after 12 years in 2000.

In Manchester MI, she met and married her loving husband John in 1998 until his passing in 2021.  She then moved to Louisville KY to live with her daughter Belinda and son-in-law Todd Lingle.

Throughout her life, Cheryl enjoyed bowling, golf and playing cards with friends and family. She and her friends won several bowling tournaments. She fished, cleaned and cooked thousands of bluegills over the years.  She was a wonderful cook and made amazing caramel corn and BBQ ribs.  She also enjoyed going to the casinos and going out to eat with family and friends.
