Obituary

Charles Salmon Jr., age 85, was born on August 12, 1940 and passed away peacefully on Monday, January 19, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Charley and Cecilia Salmon.

Charles retired from Brown-Forman, where he worked for many years with dedication and pride. He was an Army veteran and a member of Shawnee Masonic Lodge and a Past Master of George Washington Masonic Lodge, an organization he deeply valued and respected.

He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 58 years, Linda Salmon, and his devoted daughters: Melissa Davis (Micky), Jennifer Tobaben (Jim), and Carrie Lucas (George). He also leaves behind four cherished grandchildren: Forrest, Jessica (Max), Ethan (Nora), and Joe; and siblings, Clifford Salmon and Mary Edith Crow.

Charles was the leader of his family—a steady presence, a source of strength, and a man who loved his family deeply. His love for God guided his life and his relationships. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

His funeral is 1pm Friday, January 23, 2026 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky with private burial.  Visitation is 3-7pm Thursday, January 22, 2026 and after 12pm Friday until the time of the service.
