Charles Roger Hines, 89, died Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

He was born March 28, 1936, son of Charles Joseph and Rosa Cundiff Hines.

Roger retired from Whayne Supply Company.  He was a 1953 graduate of Shawnee High School, an associate member of Christ United Methodist Church and a member of Lynnhurst United Church of Christ Church, Lewis/Parkland/Shively Masonic Lodge #191, Scottish Rite and Kosair Shrine Temple. He was a former Director of Transportation for Kosair and coordinated and made many trips for children and their families to Cincinnati and Louisville to receive medical care. He had also been on the board of directors at Brooklawn Children's Home.

Survivors include his wife, Willa Mullins Hines; children, Paula McLemore (Warren) and Charles Hines (Monica); grandchildren, Tom, Allen, William, and Claire Hines, and Griffin and Campbell McLemore; and sister, Barbara Hester (Rod).

His funeral is 12pm Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park.  Visitation is 3-7pm Monday, April 14, 2025.
