Charles Edward Herberger, 84, died Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

Charles was born October 17, 1939, son of Louis Peter and Elizabeth Florence Feisner Herberger.

He was a retired automotive mechanic.  After retirement he delivered parts for Advance Auto.  Charles was a Navy Veteran and a member of St. Teresa of Calcutta Church.  He was a man who never met a stranger and he enjoyed conversation with family, friends, and anyone he came across.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his sisters, Mildred Robinette and Martha Jean Hatton; and niece, Susan Robinette.

He is survived by his children, Gary Herberger (Carrie) and Beth Funk; grandchildren, Kayla and Kyle Funk and Sydney Shaughnessy; and niece, Lisa Duffy (George).

His funeral is 2pm Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial in Highland Memory Gardens.  Visitation is after 10am Tuesday until the time of the funeral.
