Charles Allen Baete (64) passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 4, 2024.
He was a native of Louisville, Kentucky and has made his home in Texas for approximately twenty years.

He was a union operator with Local 450 and a friend to many of you.   He was a seasoned storyteller;
'most of them ended the same way… how God's faithfulness had brought him through a tough situation.

It wouldn't be unusual for Charlie to bring someone home from work...   'not for a meal, but because they were down on their luck & needed a place to stay.

If you had considerable distance to travel in a short amount of time, riding with Charlie was a sound choice.   To him, speed limits were more of a 'suggestion'…

Charles is survived by his children, Derek Baete & Abby Baete; stepdaughter, Falena Green;  father, Albert Baete; siblings, Penny Walker and Barry Baete (Roberta); as well as multiple nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Baete; and youngest brother, Bryan Baete, both of Louisville.

Memorial service is 6pm Monday, November 25, 2024 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky.  Visitation is after 2pm until the time of the service.
