Bob Shader, 88, passed away Friday, August 26, 2022.

He was born Robert Anthony Shader on October 27, 1933, son of John and Mary Jane Cecil Shader.

Bob was a 1952 graduate of St. Xavier High School and member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church.  He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, General Motors retiree, and life member of Okolona VFW Post #8639.

In addition to his parents and a number of siblings, Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Patricia, just over a year ago.  He was also predeceased by a grandson, Dallas Seifring.

He is survived by his children, Sheri Cocanougher (Mitch), Lori Sandlin (Brad Yaste) and Robert A. Shader, II (Leigh); grandchildren, Ashley Seifring, Esther Reynolds, Matthew Murphy, Shelby Sandlin and Justin Sandlin; great granddaughters, Gracen, Gabriella and Gavyn Mae Reynolds; brother, Donnie Shader; and sisters, Gladys Crimmins, Mary Carmel Derringer, Patricia Weber, and Mary Jane Horan.

Funeral mass is 10am Friday, September 2, 2022 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 5505 Bardstown Road with burial in Calvary Cemetery.  Visitation is 3-7pm Thursday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road.
