Bill Metzger, 77, died Tuesday, December 9, 2025 in Louisville, Kentucky.

He was born William Alfred Metzger, Jr. on August 1, 1948, son of William, Sr. and Catherine Munley Metzger. He graduated in 1966 from St. Xavier High School and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Bill was the retired owner of BMI Industrial Systems and member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local #110.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially boating, fishing, and floating on Dale Hollow Lake.

He is survived by his wife, Marsha Welker Metzger; children, Eric Cunningham (Melissa), Jenifer Cunningham-Pait (Edward), Bryan Metzger (Allison) and Matthew Metzger (Dee); grandchildren, Heather, Misty, Beth, Danielle, Izzie, Cora, Cameron and Sage; great grandchildren, Austin, Emily, Alex, Hunter, Sydney and Cohen; and siblings, Michael, Jay and Kerry Metzger and Sue Smith.

Memorial service is 3pm Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road.  Visitation is after 1pm until the time of the service.
