Beverlee Wise Kirk, beloved and devoted wife of William Wayne Kirk unexpectedly passed away Monday March 25th 2024. She was the daughter of Andrew G Wise & Eloise Wise of Louisville. Her love for Jesus and the family of God was her primary character. The church, gospel music and close personal God given friends that became family was the center of her life from beginning to end. She was a member of multiple churches, Carlisle Baptist Church, 9th & O Baptist Church and online member of Shadow Mountain Community Church of San Diego, Ca. and Victory Baptist Church of North Augusta, SC.
She was a graduate of Flaget High School and University of Louisville. She worked as a paralegal for almost 50 years with Judge Olga Peers, Stites & Harbison Law, and most recently Tilford Dobbins Law and was continuing to work from home.
Beverlee was also a crafter for many years and most recently co-owner of Hillbilly Gourmet LLC in Mall St Matthews. She also had a great love for Southern Gospel music and was co-founder of the Treble Tones and Kirks & Revival and did multiple recordings with both groups.
Beverlee was very creative, thoughtful, caring, had a passion for Christmas and always loved giving thoughtful, unique, and personalized gifts to show her love and compassion for others. She also had a great love for many things which included reading books, playing puzzles on her phone, cooking, eating sweets, traveling, sewing, entertaining and being with her beloved friends.
Besides her husband, Beverlee leaves behind to cherish her precious memory is, grandson and caregiver David Drake, sister cousins, Jan Phillips of Frankfort, Ky, Maureen Wildman of Louisville, Ky. She is also survived by her special God given friends, Janet & Dale Weldon of Louisville, Ky. Art Carmody of Shreveport, La., her sisters of her Sunday school classes, work associates, neighbors and friends from craft shows across the country.
Visitation & Funeral will be held at
Fern Creek Funeral Home 5406 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, Ky 40291
Visitation is on Wednesday April 3rd 2024 from 2pm to 8pm.
Funeral is on Thursday April 4th 2024 at 11am and will be officiated by Rev. Jeff Gilbertson of Southeast Christian Church.
Graveside Service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery, 500 North Main St., Nicholasville, Ky. 40356 at 2pm
Pallbearers: David Drake, Art Carmody, Tony Drake, Nathan Drake, Gary Johns, Tyler Weldon, Greg Pierce, Mike Fulkerson.
Graveside Pallbearers: George Morgan, Brent Richie, Curtis Dale Williams, Lloyd Watkins, Robert Williams, Tyler Weldon, Dale Weldon, David Drake
Both Services will be a Christian celebration and dedication of this wonderful woman and her touch to so many.
