Betty Lou Schooling, 83, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

She was born May 27, 1940, daughter of James Everette and Margaret Iona Stout Farmer.  Betty Lou was an elementary school teacher for several Jefferson County Public Schools, a 1958 graduate of Fern Creek High School and earned a Bachelor's degree  from Eastern Kentucky University.  She was member of Hillview Community Christian Church and annually produced the "Walk Through Bethlehem" program.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Farmer.

Survivors include her husband, Henry N. Schooling; children, Kevin Schooling (Lisa), Keith Schooling and Beth Reule (Steve); grandchildren, Thea Partin (Jeremiah), Aidan and Kade Schooling and Austin, Ethan and Caitlyn Reule; and brother, Mark Farmer (Christi).

Her funeral is 1pm Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery.  Visitation is after 10am until the time of the service.
