Betty Grace Fath, 86, died Sunday, January 21, 2024.

She was born March 23, 1937 in Midland, Michigan, daughter of G. Joel and Helen Malintz Stanford.

Betty was a graduate of Midland High School and Delta College.  She worked as a social worker for the State of Michigan.  After retirement, she served her community as a greeter at Mid-Michigan Medical Center.  She also attended the St. Louis Institute of Music and was a piano teacher for many years.  She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Midland.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Fath; son, Paul Fath; and brother, Glenn Stanford.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Welsh (Mel) of Louisville, Kentucky; son, Martin Fath of Clare, Michigan; sister, Connie Brooks; granddaughter, Julianne Crowley (Marcus); step granddaughter, Angel Strickland; and great grandchildren, Brevin and Caden Baker.

Her funeral is 12:30pm Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Smith-Miner Funeral Home, 2700 W. Wackerly Street, Midland with burial in Midland Municipal Cemetery.  Visitation is after 10:30 that morning until the time of the service.
