Barney Smallwood, 83, died Tuesday, January 23, 2024.

He was born May 20, 1940 in Harlan, Kentucky, son of Earland and Purlina Hoskins Smallwood.

Barney retired from both Kroger Company and Orkin Pest Control Company.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene Long Smallwood; son, William Scott Smallwood; and siblings, Tommy Smallwood, Arnold Smallwood, Nanny Howard and Melvina Smallwood.

Survivors include his grandchildren, Leah Smallwood, William Smallwood (Cassandra) and Devan Smallwood; and twin sisters, Maye Combs and Faye Maddon.

His funeral is 2pm Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial in Penn Run Memorial Park.  Visitation is 4-8pm Friday, January 26, 2024.
