Barbara Klein, 89, passed away with beloved family by her side on Sunday, August 23, 2026.

Born Barbara June Conn on June 14, 1937, she was the daughter of James Bert and Margaret Reibel Conn. Barbara was a faithful member of Okolona Church of Christ, a graduate of Fern Creek High School, and formerly worked at the old Louisville Bedding and at Bacon's Warehouse.

Barbara will be remembered most for her deep love and devotion to her family. Nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She treasured every family gathering, celebrated each milestone with pride, and created lasting memories with the people she loved most. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she delighted in hearing about their lives, accomplishments, and adventures.

Barbara also enjoyed the simple pleasures that made life beautiful. She loved purses, pretty clothes, and always enjoyed looking her best. Her sense of style reflected her vibrant personality and the pride she took in herself. Whether dressing up for church, family occasions, or an afternoon out, Barbara appreciated always looking her best.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her siblings, Virginia, Herbert, Harold, Bill, James, Hamilton, and Frances Conn.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, LaDonna Roberts (Jeff), LaVena Wilkin (Bob), LaDana Shroats (Denny), L. Diane Belcher (Shon), and Kevin Brown (Shirley); grandchildren, Brandon Floyd, Matthew Floyd, Jennifer Johnson, Lindsay Day-Lee (Jennifer), Heather Shroats, and Brett Shroats (Amanda); great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Luke, Sophia, Samantha, Rebecca Lynn, Savannah, Jason, and Sadie; and brothers, Edward and Doug Conn.

Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2026, at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2026, and after 11:00 a.m. Friday until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Okolona Church of Christ.
