Barbara June Dietsch, 88, of Louisville Ky. went to be with her Heavenly Father on October 6, 2023. She was born on April 30, 1935 in Durham Missouri to the late Julien and Mary Dacon. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Boyden Dacon and her daughter Sheila Faye Wheatley. Barbara was a member of Okolona Presbyterian Church and served others through her long time volunteer work at Wayside Christian Mission.  She was an avid cook and fantastic baker, baking cookies and desserts for all occasions and holidays.  She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and embroidery as well as taking care of her houseplants and African violets. Her career years were spent as retail sales managers for K-Mart and The Behr Store both previously located in Hikes Point.

Left to cherish her memory, Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Frank Donald Dietsch, her sister Carolyn Sue Pence (Jimmy), her children Michael Kent Brown (Pam), Teresa Gail Ford, Tammy Renee Richardson (Marke) and Charles Robert Dietsch (Jennifer); 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.  The family wishes to thank her special caregivers; Candice who provided exceptional full-time care for Barbara over the last two years and Tracy who was her steady evening caregiver. The family also wants to thank Regina from Hosparus for her help and assistance during the last month.
