Arturo C. Fernandez, 83, died Saturday, October 11, 2025.

He was born February 25, 1942 in Pasay City, Philippines, son of Faustino and Generosa Catig Fernandez.  In the Philippines, Arturo served as secretary to a Supreme Court Justice.  After moving to Louisville, Kentucky, he worked at Hazelwood Center.  He was a Catholic and an animal lover.  He especially enjoyed his dogs and horse racing.  Most importantly, Arturo was a family man and his favorite activity was gathering around the dinner table with his loved ones.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Giganto Fernandez; children, Nancy Fernandez-Andriade, Nina Fernandez and Noreen Fernandez; grandchildren, Raj Andrade, Sarah Andrade, Mathea Nocon, Nicole Mae Childers, Maureen Kehl and Marianne Nocon; and great granddaughter, Cleo Rose Kehl.
