Alberta Ann Farndale, 85, died Wednesday, September 27, 2023.

She was born April 8, 1938 in Dongola, Illinois, daughter of James H., Sr. and Ruby Carver Allen.  Alberta studied journalism and began her career as a speech writer for the U.S. Air Force.  Following her military service, she worked as a legal secretary in California for 40 years.  Alberta loved being outdoors and staying active.  She particularly enjoyed golfing and bowling.

She is survived by siblings, Nettie Hale, Linda Swinson and James H. Allen, Jr.; nieces, nephews and friends.
