Albert Debora Brown, age 75, of Pekin, Indiana returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, with loving family by her side.
She was born on August 21, 1950, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Hoyt and Catherine (Weber) Thompson. Alberta had a kind heart and found it hard to say no to anyone who needed her help. She enjoyed shopping and collecting various items from glass beads to shot glasses. She loved butterflies and also loved cooking. Her family will fondly remember her roast and fried potatoes and her chili pan which was handed down to by her grandmother to her mother and then to Alberta.
Her true passion, however, was her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Spending time with them and creating special memories is what Alberta held most dear to her heart. She will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Ronnie, Sonny, Albert, James Robert. Jimmy, Brenda, and Tubby.
She leaves to honor and cherish the memory of her children, Tina Brooks, Ricky Brown, Missy Phillips (James), Guy Wilson III (Christy), Denise Taylor, and Robert Wilson (Rachel); grandchildren, Indeia, Brianna, Allison, Morgan, Summer, Kraig, Peyton and numerous more; six great grandchildren; sister, Patricia Ewing; beloved partner, Bobby Killebrew; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Her visitation will be conducted on Saturday August 1, 2026 from 3:00-6:00 pm at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40291, with cremation to follow.
