Adrienne Kay Kendall, 79, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 16, 2025.

Born November 20, 1945, in Asheboro, NC, she was the daughter of Eli and Reba McNeil Smith. Adrienne graduated from Mars Hill College with a degree in Music Performance, majoring in Piano. For over 50 years, Adrienne was a devoted member of Fern Creek Baptist Church, where she dedicated much of her time and talents to music and children's ministry. She served as the director of preschool programs, shared her musical gifts as an organist, pianist, and choir member, and taught Sunday School. Adrienne also provided compassionate support to grieving families as Chair of the Bereavement Committee, a role she faithfully held for over 25 years.

Adrienne was preceded in death by her beloved son, Ashley Kendall, as well as her parents.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Holland Kendall; her children, Heidi Kendall-Sage (Chuck) and Dr. Dutch Kendall (Teresa); her cherished grandchildren, Cameron, Haley, Lee, Anetta, Destiny, and Rhiannon; and her brother, Mendall Smith.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Fern Creek Baptist Church (5920 Bardstown Road). Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Fern Creek Funeral Home (5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY). A private burial at Crosswater Gardens will be held at a later date.

Memorial gifts may be made to Fern Creek Baptist Church in Adrienne's honor.
